One of the projects on World Community Grid (FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2) seems to always make tasks available with less than a day till the due date. BOINC will merrily ignore that task and pick up random other ones due a week out, and occasionally runs out of time before getting around to the task that's due soon. If I notice it, I'll manually suspend other tasks to force it to work on this one, but really, a greedier algorithm for deciding on what task to work on would eliminate the hassle. Or is there a setting I am missing that would adjust the scheduler?
