Project announcements.. I have posted messages on the message boards of projects with BOINC ARM applications and WU's to publicize the availability of BETA 7.14.1 in the Play Store and referenced the process URL to become a BETA tester.

The intent is to get additional BETA testers / Users looking at the new version.

I have one User who has a large farm of ARM devices who has started an upgrade process on them. He crunches on at least 5 projects that support ARM devices.

Thanks

Some BETA testing feed back notes on a WuProp forum relating to what Projects are not playing well with the new client 7.14.1 and Android 8.0 and 8.1

Yes, a couple of possible issues, these may not be related to the new Beta version but I've not had these issues before. First off, the Android I use for making phone calls was recently updated from Android 7.1 to Android 8.1. I can't say for sure that this is related to this update as I don't make that many phone calls, but now after every phone call I make I have to reboot the phone as I keep getting the message that reads something like "You can only use one version of Boinc". Pressing Exit and attempting to get back into Boinc results in the same message time after time. Secondly, pausing a task often results in the green arrow restart task icon vanishing completely so there's no way of restarting that task without a reboot. I'm seeing this on all versions of Android from 4.4 to 8.1.

Cheers,

Pete

I was reminded of a visual issue; when attaching to a new project, after one of the first WU's is returned - the Credit: line for that project has any numbers disappear until several more WU's are returned.

The event log has:
GUI Messages

and, on an Android 7.1.2 Phone, Moo!Wrapper in this recent case.
