I do a lot of remote desktop to my PC and the graphics when it starts running really slow my connection, etc. Is there a way to just disable the screensaver when the projects are running so it runs in the background without setting it to "Run Always." |

Firstly, the screensaver and Boinc itself are two different things, although they're commonly confused. Boinc and it's science apps do all the work, while the screensaver just draws pretty pictures and wastes your CPU's power (for example, on CPDN SAP, it uses 50% of CPU power). What I would recommend is turning off the screensaver entirely, by right-clicking on the desktop, 'display properties', 'screensaver', then select '(blank)'. To see what your project in Boinc is doing, open up the Boinc manager, click to the work/tasks tab, and click 'show graphics'. |
