GPU + Core usage

I'm interested in adding a GPU to the mix. On my other computer that runs Folding@Home with a GPU, FAH reserves one CPU core for the GPU. Does BOINC do similar with GPUs? Will my little i3 process 3 projects + GPU project, or 4+1? ID: 85298 ·

Depends on the BOINC specific project and on some BOINC projects specific sub-projects may or may not require a dedicated CPU thread/core. Not sure if there is any type of list detailing which ones need a dedicated CPU core for a GPU task but it might be noted on each projects web site forum. ID: 85301 ·
