The entire line reads:

"Scheduler request failed: failed writing received data to disk/application"

this is running Rosetta 5.32 and Boinc 5.4.11

this is a new one to me. there is plenty of hard disk space and of course read/write permissions (windoze 2000).

anyone seen this?

hmmm any other disk exclusionary processes going like a low priority disk defrag? Also Firewall.... either 2 have caused this on my machine.

No - no other disk operations running and I have zonealarm firewall set to give boinc all permissions for internet access.

I'm still blaming the sat modem latency delay until I come up with a better idea.

I had the problem also where a set of WU's would download fine (.gz files)
over the sat modem but choke at the end on a .txt file extension. Several megs of .gz files would d/l fine then at the end there would be a small (1.2k) or so
.txt file and the download would halt and refuse to d/l that file. If I
quickly changed the boxes proxy settings to connect via dial-up modem it would
finish fine.

For what it's worth - so far the 5.7.2 beta client is working fine on all
satellite modem downloads regardless of .gz or .txt extension. I'd call that progress....
Hope everything else works as well with the 5.7.2 beta client.
