I was running Einstein@home, climateprediction.net, and SETI@home, and had to pause all three. When I went to resume, I had a "Scheduler request pending" comment for all three jobs. I did some reading and read the suggestion to uninstall then reinstall BOINC. I did that, after I detached from Einstein@home and climateprediction.net. When I reinstalled I still had SETI@home with the "Scheduler request pending" comment, and I have been unable to resume. Can someone help me out with this? Thanks. John Villegas |

Next time ask first, before reading up. You didn't need to uninstall and reinstall. Nor did you need to detach from any project. The scheduler pending message is there to tell you that you missed a "call to home" by BOINC to the projects. It's your "connect to server every x amount of minutes" setting in your preferences in the projects. All you need to do is either Update the projects through Boinc Manager, Projects tab, select project per time, press Update... Or even easier, if you are using a Boinc 5.4.x version, go to the Menu bar at the top, Advanced, Retry Communications. Whomever said that it be fixed by uninstalling/reinstalling and detaching/re-attaching needs a kick in a place where it hurts. :-) |
