I looked high an low for a better place to put this, and didn't find one, so here goes. I am about to purchase a second video card for my desktop system that will be dedicated to mining/researching/processing math-intensive work. What I don't see as a feature of the BOINC Manager is a way to configure settings per CPU/GPU. Basically, what I'd like to do is turn off all processing for the CPU and internal GPU and dedicate processing to 50% of the first PCI card and 100% of the second. More fine tuning of the management client is what I'm after here. Any work being done along these lines?

Try looking at https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration and seeing if what you want to do can be done with the option switches.

You already have that control in the Project Preferences for every project. You can toggle off both CPU processing and Intel on-board graphics processing.

The second part of your request is not possible at this time even with deploying client configuration options. It's all or nothing for work performed on a gpu. You can restrict a gpu to specific projects or applications however through client configuration which might satisfy your desires.
