Quick question for the community... Does anyone get assigned GPU tasks for any project under world community grid? Besides GPUgrid and Seti I wasn't sure if any other Boinc project uses the GPU (my focus is on WCG). WCG claims they do but not sure if any active projects make use of it. Seems like CPU only as of this writing. twitter: @illmaticwes81 |

Add to your list Einstein and more. When you try to attach to a new project you will see a number of small icons in or below the project description box, these indicate the processor classes for which that project has applications. |

Those same icons can be seen somewhat larger on https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php As for WCG and GPUs, best ask them yourself, in their GPU forum (or read there for earlier answers). |

You can check WUprop to see what other people with your GPU are running: http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/gpu.py My Detailed BOINC Stats |

Quick question for the community... WCG has no GPU applications available. I believe it's been some years since they have. Note that WCG is a non-standard BOINC project. They use BOINC on the backend with their own custom front. It can be rather maddening at times to find things at their site. However, here is a list of the current projects running with the platforms supported: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq BOINC maintains a non-exhaustive list of projects: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php BOINCStats Forum has perhaps the most comprehensive list of all the projects and what platforms (including GPU) they support if you don't mind the rough nature of the list: https://boincstats.com/en/forum/9/1774 It's periodically updated. ~Yav |
