Hallo zusammen,

vielleicht kann mir jemand einen Hinweis geben:

Wie kann ich am BOINC-Client einstellen, dass alle Berechnungen pausiert werden, wenn der PC auf Notstrom läuft ?

-------------------------

Hi everybody,

how can I tell the Boinc-Client to stop computing on Emergency-Power (from my uninterruptible power supply) ?

vielen Dank / Thanks

Yours

If it's recognized as such by the operating system, it should be possible via the Suspend when computer is on battery preference.

Thanks Folks.

I'm back :-)

My UPS is running, and the delivered Software Tool tells me how log my Computer could work on Battery.

I have activated "Suspend when computer is on battery" in Boinc.

But Boinc keeps calculating if I pull the 230V Plug.

The Software Tool keeps me noticing, that I'm on Battery, and Boind don't know.

Maybe you can give me a clou :-)

btw: I have no Service called "UPS" or "USV" or somtheing else.
There is only a new Service wich name belongs to the new Tool which cam with the USV / UPS...

I have found that if you install the UPS monitor software provided by the manufacturer (I have CyberPower UPSes) then it takes away management from Windows, and BOINC relies on Windows power management to detect when utility power is lost. So, for me, the choice was to either have BOINC pause computation, or have the CyberPower management software be able to shut down the computer if power was lost for an extended period of time.
