Hi all, I have installed Boinc Client yesterday on my macbook pro, with Sierra (10.2.4). The version of Boinc I use is the latest I guess: 7.6.34 All worked fine and I managed to select a project and worked on it... Until tonight. I don't know why but the manager stopped working and now, the manager cannot connect to the client (localhost).... I tried several times and I tried to reinstall the software but i still face the same issue. Any clue / hint ? Many thanks ! |

Is the client actually running? BOINC consists of two main programs, the client - which does all the scheduling, caching and up&downloading - and the manager - which allows you to command and control the client through a GUI. Normally the message that the manager cannot connect to the client happens when you do start the manager, but the client hasn't started yet. So check that. |

Thanks Ageless for your answer. How can I find this client on my Macbook Pro ? When I install the tool (from here: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php) , I only have one installer and then, one app called BOIN MANAGER is installed. I then launch this app and it worked fine few days ago.... But not anymore :/ |

I don't know much about Macs, so will have to leave the answer to that to one of our Mac gurus. |

Can you check the Console app. It is an application in /Applications/Utilities. Do you see any errors related to Boinc? |
