He will be if Trump & Kim complete the double by signing a final peace agreement ending the Korean War :-)

Now wouldn't that be something :-)

Shouts of "shame" could be heard from 71-year-old MP Christopher Chope's colleagues after he stood up and shouted "object" on Friday.

Man jailed after police find 553 guns in 2 LA-area homes

June 19 (UPI) -- Local and federal authorities are investigating a Southern California man they say illegally stockpiled more than 500 firearms at two Los Angeles-area homes, officials said.

Police searched the home of Manuel Fernandez in Agua Dulce, 30 miles north of Los Angeles, after receiving a tip that he kept hundreds of firearms there. Fernandez, a convicted felon, is barred by law from owning any guns.

Officials said they found 432 firearms during a search at the home last week.

That search led investigators to second home about a mile away, where 30 additional illegal firearms were found. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said the woman who lived at that home was away during the search and has not returned.

The next day, a follow-up search at Fernandez's home found 91 more firearms that had been hidden.

The total number of firearms found -- 553.

"The case is a testament to the community's involvement in reducing crime and taking guns out of the hands of criminals," Sheriff Jim McDonnell said, citing the case as a positive example of the department's "see something, say something" campaign.

Fernandez, 60, was jailed on charges of illegally possessing firearms and unlawfully possessing ammunition and large-capacity magazines. He posted bail and was released.

Due to the large number of firearms recovered, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called to help with the investigation. Federal agents are trying to determine how the guns were purchased.

Fernandez is due in court July 9.

@ Gary Apparently, our Prime Minister is struggling to justify how he got given a knighthood.

In the meantime:

The Church of England has made last-ditch efforts to engage with sexual abuse survivors before a report of how it recorded cases of abuse is published.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby said the Church's failures were "deeply shaming".

Suspect it might be like reading "In Retrospect"

That looks depressingly good too.

I might find myself reading that one first. The other is on kindle, and well... I'm not, and the paperback version is a price that I can't really justify spending on myself, so most probably won't.

It was recommended to me - nothing to do with politics - because I'm trying to fathom how the breakdown of a relationship between two very dear family members of mine, may have already been set in stone before I could even walk, which means I'm now completely off topic and so...will shut up :)

I heard a rumour that some of the American Declaration of Independence was deleted by a Facebook algorithm as hate speech just in time for the 4th of July.

I've not read it. Probably because the title seems so self-explanatory. I might have to now... ;)

Not a rumor. AI hasn't gotten to that point yet.

I thought there was something seriously wrong with the colour balance on the television today. But it's okay. I just had to wait for the camera to pan out and for Putin to come into shot.

Nelson Mandela would have been 100 today (if he hadn't died of course). Barack Obama did a nice annual lecture at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium to mark the occasion :)

Will never happen. How do we know? Because Trumplethinskin is a sick, depraved, low IQ, compulsive liar. Not a single word of truth has ever left his mouth nor will any in the future. If he says he wants peace with the Norkors then we know for sure what he actually wants is war. Trump knows he is a worthless, yellow bellied coward. Of all his filthy sick impulses and twisted needs his top priority is to prove to himself and to the world that he is a tough guy, a manly man. Bush declared himself a war president and gleefully slaughtered millions of Iraqis. Trump's greatest yearning is to prove he is even tougher than Bush by murdering at least 10 times the number the war criminal Bush murdered.

All this hoohaw out of Trump's foul yap of late is just him setting up the scenario to facilitate the big lie that we all know is coming, the big BS excuse he's going to invent for invading N Korea. He's going to have to do something to make amends for destroying everything American and what better way is there to get on an American's good side than to tell them they don't have to use those boring cardboard targets anymore instead they can go to N Korea and blast away at something that runs and ducks and jumps around the way a cardboard target cannot. Yes, you know it's coming, that day when Trump will tweet that he is the greatest, the mightiest, the most savvy war president there ever was. Cuz that's how sick Toddler Tyrant is and you know it.
