I saw the resignation, and the statement, slightly differently, and it left me puzzled. The grapevine is saying more, Mr Haselgrove, How much is merely the scent of blood is not clear. Either way - he hung himself with the press when he stated: "what might have been acceptable 15, 10 years ago -..." Not pretty. |

Maybe he's one of the few M.P's from ANY party that have still got some principals and sticks by them. He's given the impression he's sticking to the principle that it should still be acceptable. Which is a principle I suppose... |

She's cute. :)ROFLMAO You really want to hear more screams come your way? That won't go down well with some in this country. A future Leader of the Conservative Party & possibly Prime Minister being someone from a "former" colony of the British Empire? The screams will be so loud down the Channel Tunnel, you'll hear them in Amsterdam :-) |

The screams will be so loud down the Channel Tunnel, you'll hear them in Amsterdam :-)She may have the personality of a tiny teen, but that doesn't make her look less pretty and cute from a photo. There's a lot of very nice photo's of her out there on the Interwebs. We can dream, can't we? :) |

why would "being someone from a "former" colony of the British Empire" disqualify them if they were capable of doing the job?Coming from you, that has to earn you the "Alternative Comedian of the Year" award for 2017 :-) |

It seems I was misunderstood. Wasn't referring to "pop idol" status but xenophobic racists. The screams will be so loud down the Channel Tunnel, you'll hear them in Amsterdam :-)She may have the personality of a tiny teen, but that doesn't make her look less pretty and cute from a photo. Agreed, but it's those in their 50's and 60's that you have to really watch. Particularly when they go Doo Dah Lally in May. Doo Dah Is November 19. |

"The offshore financial centres say that if they did not exist, there would be no constraint on taxes governments might levy. They say they do not sit on hoards of cash, but act as agents that help pump money around the globe." With $10 trillion offshore, they're not pumping it very well. |

An interesting half hour. Tomorrow should be even better as the BBC's stars themselves have some explaining to do. |

Well, I'm more interested in what "The Great and the Good" (as they used to call themselves) have been up to, but a bit of light entertainment from the BBC will give us time to catch our breaths. BBC News seem to have cancelled all leave for the weekend - nice to see someone putting a bomb under the Tory party on bonfire night - but the key feature is that this is just the British highlights of an international co-production. It will be interesting to see what other countries pick out for their showreels. Will also be fun to see how Trump handles Wilbur Ross and the Russians from Japan. |
