Message 82189 - Posted: 23 Oct 2017, 20:38:40 UTC - in response to Message 82183.

A series of primary schools have introduced gender-neutral uniforms to cater for children who are questioning their gender identity.
Why are so many children questioning their gender identity? Lax parenting without role models that's why.
Answering your own questions, that's why!
No silly, it is what they see on the phone.

All little boys dress up in their mummy's clothes at some point. me and my brother did.
Generalising again Mr S? At least you have admitted your own little quirks.

It was a once off for a laugh at 7 years old, my brother was 4. It's perfectly normal. If you didn't you were probably inhibited.
Naughty boy, what was you told about making assumptions? Didn't realise that transvestites started that early :-)

That's the golden rule around here if you want a sensible reply.

So how long have you been losing arguments with yourself?

Normal

Must be a northern thing, none of that around here.

Abnormal
From your link Mr S, please take note:

"Cross dressing is one of the cross gender behaviours that children may do
It is usual for preschool boys and girls to dress up in clothes of the other sex as a way of trying out what it is like to be a man or a woman, a father or a mother.
A child does not understand until about the age of six that he or she will always be a boy or a girl. Before that children think their sex can be changed."

Hmm, you being 7, still unsure of yourself, bit slow I would have thought.

As for your "abnormal" link, thanks for making me aware of those venues, stops one from making a fool of oneself by unknowingly entering them. As there are so few, the odds of that happening are very small, unlike London as there are too many that one has to be careful on one's choices. However, with London one may bump into a politican or two should one inadvertly enter such a venue.

I only square up to and argue with other people, I'm usually on the level with myself, so I mostly agree with me. Now you're a right odd fellow to be sure, with a French surname, living in an American city founded by Mexican settlers, and named by a Spanish Governor. Still I'm sure you have your supporters.
The British Empire is dead. Suggest you move into the 21st century. How many of the 650 governing the UK are actually English through & through?

It is always best to look inward before one can look outward.

Suggest you recheck your history books. Pasadena was founded after California because a state in the USA. If you meant El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula that was settled by Spaniards long before Mexico declared independence. Of course the Chumash nation was here before any Europeans set foot in California.

Naw, no need for anyone to look that far out. Instead let's look at the blood infusion for "dear old England"

Scots from North of the border
Welsh from the West
Italians from the Roman Empire (not forgetting that many of their legionnaires were of other nationalities)
Vikings from the Nordic countries
Then there is the "infamous" rout of the [slightly diluted at that time) English in 1066

Therefore long before any modern day immigration issues the pure bloodline of any Englishman or woman has been totally diluted.

If one should then include immigration over the last 200 years, it's just about possible that the bloodline of the "so-called" pure blood English is 1% at most :-)

As J.K. Rowling put it "We're all Muggles" :-)

London population is less than 45% British. Couldn't find a figure for percentage "English". Although I did find one demographics 'expert' that says in about 3 generations to find a London inhabitant who is 100% "English" will be almost impossible.

Illustrates my point even better. :-)

To see any specific nationality expressing themselves superior to any other nationality is disappointing. After all everyone one of us regardless of nationality or politicial persuasion end up either 6 feet under or toasted - so much for superiority :-)

I will [...] research it via a number of sources to find the real facts.

UK newspaper age demographics in 4 charts

Thinking you've confused your "good starter for ten" for something else, Chris

You are wrong to think of Mr S as confused, Sir. He is never anything but certain. ;-)

UK universities fear censorship

British universities rounded on an MP on Tuesday for asking them how they teach Brexit to students, a move many academics felt might be a prelude to censorship.

Conservative MP Chris Heaton-Harris, who has a role in organising how the ruling Conservatives vote in parliament, sent the letter to university chiefs, requesting “the names of professors at your establishment who are involved in the teaching of European affairs, with particular reference to Brexit.”

“If I could be provided with a copy of the syllabus and links to the online lectures which relate to this area, I would be much obliged,” he added.

David Green, vice chancellor at the University of Worcester, said the letter sent a chill down his spine.

Certainly confused would be more apt.

Locating 3 trans-friendly venues here & he calls it abnormal, then have the temerity to call his home city normal with more than 10x that number there.

He should've gone to specsavers followed by comparethemarket.com :-)

Southend hospital set to pilot Airbnb-style scheme. I've just sent the BBC this message:

Does anyone in Essex have a spare room any more? I thought it was Government policy to phase them out under the so-called 'bedroom tax' - certainly not to pay their owners a subsidy.

Just finished watching a great game of football. 2-0 down for most of the 1st half, go on to win 5-2. Now if only the senior team can play with the same charactor & passion!
