Hi All, I'm using BOINC 7.6.34 on macOS Sierra (10.12.4). Every time I come back when the screensaver/BOINC has kicked in, my mac freezes and I have to hit the power button. I'm stopping BOINC (alas) until I can understand how to stop making it freeze and not wake. Anyone else seeing this? I'm using SETI@Home. I tried reducing CPU used to 90%, turning on/off suspend while active, but it locks every time. Thanks for any advice, Rob |

You should be able to disable the screen saver, as it isn't necessary to run to do the science. See http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/BOINC_screensaver#Disabling_screen_saver for how to do so. I have forwarded this to the developer in question, but do mind that he's on vacation until the start of May. |

I'm seeing the same error. I have Sierra 10.12.5. It actually happens without any screen saver. I was just running the application by itself while using the laptop and it would repeatably either freeze (and require power cycle) or just crash and reboot. |

Can you check the Console app (in /Applications/Utilities)? Do you see any boinc related errors? Sjmielh |

How should it look like? Nothing BOINC in the name. |

Do you see something of screensaver. To be clear you first need to open boinc and then the Console Sjmielh |

Sorry, it seems that updating a Docker, which was sometimes running in parallel, resolved the problem. |
