Last night my internet was out of service for a few hours. During that time BOINC on my computers tried sending scheduler requests to E@H about every 75 seconds or so. I would perfer it to be staggered somewhat similar to when a project goes down (for rough example - 75 sec. 5x, 5 mins. 6x, 10 mins. 3x, and then retry at 15 min. intervals). It was rather tiresome closing the BOINC popup everytime it tried to communicate.

The client is supposed to do an exponential backoff, each time it tries and fails it should wait longer to try again.

I know that one of the clients is the 5.4.11.

Then set your reminder frequency to 120 minutes. Open Boinc Manager, Advanced, (5.2.x clients Options,) Options, General and slide the reminder frequency bar to the right. OK out and the reminder popups only show every two hours.

Done, thank you. But the question is still open on the other communique. To clarify:

It was the same message "Deferring scheduler requests for 1 minutes and 0 seconds" repeatedly every minute plus a few seconds until 06:55:06 of the next day.
