This is the way Amerika is rolling these days. You folks think you have problems in Europe? lol. Greece sends Angela Merkel a Valentine's Day gift :-) |

another edit: I can't talk about Trump at the moment - my eyes keep falling out and bouncing around on the keyboard when I try. I'm sure I'll get a grip on them... eventually. The resulting typing should make as much sense as the monkeys in Washington DC. |

Then bookmark these pages to give you a starting point, then peruse the House of Commons Library. followed by the Cabinet Papers, & the biographies of the various PM's that you can get your hands on. I am well-versed in investigative research technique, Sir, thank you. Failed Italian Communist a Father of the EU I fail to see your point. It has been noted by greater men than I that Christopher Booker can cram six falsehoods into a 900 word document and not retract or apologise for a single one. I will give the author his due. Facts do creep into his work. By accident or design is neither here nor there, but perhaps he does better in longer tomes? ;-) The accuracy, disclosed to us in your peer review of the work so far however, leaves me underwhelmed, Sir ;-) And it is a peer review is it not? Richard North is a "failed UKIP candidate" ;-) a political party you hold (or once held) in high regard? If you had recommended the book without superlative reference to its research, then I would have left you to enjoy it without comment, Sir :-) You did not, hence why I did not. @Anniet What with all the stuff about Donald Trump, I must have missed us giving it back somehow We are still Gibraltarians :-) living in a British Overseas Territory. If anyone missed anything when they inferred otherwise, then they are some 300 years behind the times. ;-) |

I am well-versed in investigative research technique, Sir, thank you. Then you failed miserably on this one. Have you read the book? BTW, I hold no political party in high regard, neither am I a member of any. Where they're concerned it's SSDD hence Brexit & Brexit +++ As for Gibraltar, didn't the majority of the people on that Spanish bit of rock vote to remain in the EU? |

"Mr Blair's comments were arrogant, utterly undemocratic and showed that the political elite was completely out of touch with the British people." Sorry Britain, my £60 million is not enough, I want more |

I am well-versed in investigative research technique, Sir, thank you. My dear man, which part of this are you struggling to grasp? Perhaps, when I retire, I will return to my previous profession and investigate what percentage of The Great Deception is indeed deception, and who by.(ref: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=11404&postid=75949 ) Assessing any tendency for bias in an author's other works is a valuable tool in flagging up areas of concern when considering another to read, surely? It keeps the mind alert to not only potential distortion of facts as they have been stated, but those pertinent that have been omitted. I am surprised you can not see that for yourself. BTW, I hold no political party in high regard, neither am I a member of any. Where they're concerned it's SSDD hence Brexit & Brexit +++ We did indeed. As did Scotland. :-) I wish you a pleasant weekend, Sir. :-) I will be spending mine with my delightful family so am unlikely to look in again here for a few days. |

Trump 'not referring to specific incident', White House says, after 'last night in Sweden' confusion Soon after reading that, a memory of an old series of stories popped into my head. They were called The Muddle-Headed Wombat An apt description of "a certain person". |

What are these so called "for the people" Calif. legislators smoking that want to "off-shore" IT jobs. From Computer World's Senior Editor - Patrick Thibodeau (who has been writing A LOT about H-1B Visa reform/legislation): Renewed effort begins to save Calif. university’s IT jobs At least 10 U.S. lawmakers have written University of California officials about their plan to move IT jobs offshore. It has been called it "ill-advised" and "dangerous," and some have demanded its reversal. But the letters have had no apparent impact, and employees are slated to be laid off Feb. 28. |

What are these so called "for the people" Calif. legislators smoking that want to "off-shore" IT jobs. They are doing their job cutting costs for the taxpayer so taxes can be reduced, just like you are demanding. Stupid ill advised demands to do things, like cut taxes, have nasty vile unintended consequences. |

Any mathematicians here as the numbers don't add up. Tax rise? How? An average of 0.60p a week rise equates to £31.20 while the Personal allowance is increased by £500. Hmm 2.84 million will be worse off by £240 a year, but they've just been given a £500 increase. "Spreadsheet Phil" better check that spreadsheet :-) Budget |
