BOINC client version 7.4.43 My Android 5 tablet often will show WUs as "ready" and with notice that "Computing will resume when battery charge reaches 90% (currently 100%)." 90% is the level set in preferences. This is while plugged into charger. Sometimes using another app and going back to BOINC will get things going, or eventually BOINC will "decide" to start crunching WUs again. Strange to me that BOINC client doesn't realize that 100% is above 90%! During this "ready" phase, event log also will be blank. I'm using 3 of 4 cores, running 3 WUs (2 SETI@Home and 1 Rosetta). Power set to run on USB, wall socket (charger), and battery. Previously I was only using 2 cores for 2 SETI WUs, with no problem like this. Overworking tablet? Thanks for any ideas. |

What's your "Power sources for computation" set to? |

Wall socket, USB connection, and Battery. Thanks! |

I don't think you should check Battery. What happens when you uncheck it? |

Very possibly the charger can't keep up. Depending on the USB cable connection available, the shorter the better, mine happily alternates at 90%. When BOINC resumes it runs about 4 minutes, then the charge drops to 89, takes a minute to go back to 90, and the cycle repeats. Source wallsocket will likely still drain the battery while computing... try and see. Coelum Non Animum Mutant, Qui Trans Mare Currunt |
