Mário Zagallo age 92, Brazilian football legend, the first of only three men to win the FIFA Men's World Cup as both player and manager (the other two are Germany's Franz Beckenbauer and France's Didier Deschamps). The only person to have done so more than twice. |

Hi I don't know where to post this. My younger brother, Clive Sterland (no Idea as to his username here) has been a member of both Boinc & seti for many years. Sadly he passed away last night, aged 64, after three years of declining health. His home was in Cumbria, UK. I know he has several PCs running at home doing projects & unfortunately, these will at some point in the next few weeks have to be shut down. If anyone (possibly admin) can connect this (or a couple of email addresses) to a known user here, I'd appreciate being able to see what he was doing. Regards Mike Sterland |

Sorry for your loss. Normally the moderators and admins don't like being swamped with private messages but maybe one of them could contact you rather than putting the emails onto a public forum? |

If you have access to his computers, you will be able find his userID and hostID's for his computers by examining the client_state.xml file on each computer for all of the projects he is attached to on each machine. This will allow you to see what he was doing on each project. The client_state.xml file is in the BOINC folder. The BOINC folder can be in different directory locations depending on the OS used on the host. My condolences for your loss. |

Thanks for the advice & condolences. Unfortunately, I don't know how to access his computers & processors, as they're all run on linux & I don't have passwords. My sister says he was something like 8th in the UK at working on projects but i don't know where such lists are |
