I've installed boinc on a RedHat system. I am communicating with the Rosetta project. I have by disk usage set to 10 GB maximum, and the inquiry time to .05 day. I get these messages:

rosetta@home|General preferences have been updated
Fri 28 Jul 2006 08:06:50 AM CDT|rosetta@home|Message from server: No work sent
Fri 28 Jul 2006 08:06:50 AM CDT|rosetta@home|Message from server: (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated)
Fri 28 Jul 2006 08:06:50 AM CDT|rosetta@home|Message from server: No disk space (YOU must free 7510.7 MB before BOINC gets space). Review preferences for maximum disk space used.

Is this a permission problem? I assume the default data directory is in the BOINC subdirectory in my home directory. Can I change the data directory?

Any tips are appreciated

Try these, Boinc does not like fantasy settings sometime so just enter what you have and keep at least 2 gig for Boinc's use.....

Disk and memory usage
Use no more than 30 GB disk space
Leave at least
(Values smaller than 0.001 are ignored) 0.1 GB disk space free
Use no more than 85% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every 360 seconds
Use no more than 75% of total virtual memory
