Grumble, my state is to close all bars at midnight today. I went down to the local watering hole to get 1 last drink and the owner didn't bother to even open today. The closure is to last until at least the end of the month. I hope all the employees weather this OK, they are my friends. I will miss happy hour. This is not a good thing. +1 Difference tonight was the last night at my watering hole and the owner is selling off the perishable food to regulars so it doesn't spoil. THIS IS NOT A GOOD OMEN. |

Sadly, I suspect some will close here due to lack of custom. I intend to donate this evening at one of our local watering holes and will continue to do so until/unless they do close. |

One of the confirmed cases of corona posted their symptoms online: severe headache, very tired, muscle aches between shoulder blades, pain in neck and back, stuffed breathing, hyperactive bowel movements, less appetite. No fever, no couching or sneezing. Exactly what I have felt for the past two weeks and which still comes up now and then. Very tired again today, slept from 11pm last night till 12am today. |

They dang well better not make this go on for long or an awful lot of people won't have jobs to go back to. 3-6 months was one estimate I saw, Of course that would need the food distribution network to not succumb, if it does all bets are off !! |

As long as not everyone does things like this guy: https://twitter.com/BrexitBetrayed/status/1240298550292025344 Although I suspect he's just a shop owner, because otherwise that's about impossible. That's a lot of pancake mix! |

Glory I got notice this morning that the owner of the local pub has figured out a way to do carry out from the regular menu. That means I will have one more food source and some of the kitchen staff will have their jobs. |

(Just about OK if dressed for the occasion!) |

180+ stations did it: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/viral-news/2020/03/19/bbc-radio-to-join-european-stations-in-playing-youll-never-walk-alone/, my fave Caroline included. Thumbs up for the initiative, it was tear jerking. |

It looks like I have a new apartment. Another 20 minutes to go for the sign in, but I'm still nr.1 Of course, if the apartment is to my liking, the next problem will be... how the heck does one move in these uncertain days? |

Too many people who aren't keeping their distance. I checked, and in Belgium (who do have a lockdown) one can move as it's an essential movement, but only with help of 1 friend, or done by a moving company and then you're not allowed to help. So fingers crossed that before the 5th of May there's no lockdown here as I don't have the funds to pay the rent for two apartments for months on end. |

I don't know about now, but here in Sydney it used to be quite common to see people walking along the footpath with one or two really big "plastic" suitcases on wheels. And sometimes two people getting onto the bus with them. My guess is that they were "moving house". Which reminds me: I wonder what it'll be like at one popular bus stop near a big shopping centre, especially around 3 pm when the schools get out. Although that changes too, from tomorrow, when they all get closed for early Easter holidays. |

Grumble: don't people search anymore if their question/feature request has been asked already? |
