I don't know. I can take a computer apart blindfolded and rebuild it into a working thing of beauty. I wouldn't know where the computer in my Suzi lives... so let alone what colour brake fluid needs to be. Looking it up though it's clear, blue, green, pale yellow or crimson red, depending on the brand. I guess the garage meant really dark red bordering to brown or worse.

That entirely depends on which brake fluid is used. All, however, have one thing in common - they are clear and don't have floating lumps....

Jord, I'd forgotten until you reminded me -
Years ago I was going somewhere in a bus, and we had to stop and walk the last short bit due to an accident blocking the road.
There was a patch of bright green on the road near the cars, and I said something about aliens.
A person near me said that it was brake fluid.
Not as exciting, but at least no one was too badly hurt.

But what about small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri?

Now that it's cooled down a bit, mine has stopped moping and come in for a feed. :)

Grumble:

Manufacturers who make devices that run on 3 AA or AAA cells and charger manufacturers who only make chargers that charge cells in pairs.

That's done to make you buy.more chargers and batteries. How else are they supposed to make more profit?

Good quality conditioning chargers are available and they charge single cells but they do not conform to the "stack em high and sell them cheap" that seems to be the normal standard of today.

They should modify the devices to run on a single lithium-ion battery.

Going on vacation again, just ordered my holiday home. I'll be out of your hair from the 6th till the 16th of May. Going to sniff some nice clean Ardennes air. That's in Belgium for the uninitiated.

Whisper, Spa Francorchamps or Battle of the Bulge and they might just be able to point a finger at the map approximately in the right area.

Glory.
Had an unexpected delivery yesterday morning, a day early but nice bit of kit - 2 bay docking station with standalone cloning function.
Spent the rest of the day testing.

Grumble. Works great but has 2 unexpected issues.
1: even though target disk was formatted, it cloned the source disk successfully but anything more that the total of source drive, it turned into unallocated space.
2: It also gave the target drive the same drive letter. Clicking on the target drive froze the computer (2 drives with same letter, even though target was originally given different letter on formatting. :-(

Glory, easy solutions. :-)
Just remove source drive from bay when finished.
Enter disk management & extend volume using unallocated space.
IMHO, it beats imaging software as I used to use Acronis TrueImage often, but on a few occasions when I really needed it, it failed. :-(

Grumble. Telling people to isolate themselves at home will be an absolute goldmine for the phone scammers. Had to put the phone down on two already today.

Grumble, my state is to close all bars at midnight today. I went down to the local watering hole to get 1 last drink and the owner didn't bother to even open today. The closure is to last until at least the end of the month. I hope all the employees weather this OK, they are my friends. I will miss happy hour. This is not a good thing.

Glory: booking.com just called to tell me they've cancelled my reservation on the holiday home and will send me my money back.
Grumble: this does mean my vacation is now cancelled. Thanks coronavirus!
