Your gyros just needed a quick reset :-(
Glad to read you are back on your feet, just take it easy for a bit and hopefully you will be back to your normal form.

Been there with the gyros tumbling. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.

But never chest and arm pain. Glad to hear your ticker is good.

Hey guys, anyone know how long one's gyros that go AWOL, stay AWOL? Been horiznal since Tues. Taken many a knock & tumble over the past 50 years, but this is literally doing my head. Until now, every time I sat up, felt woozy 5 minutes stating at the screen, shutdown the rig. As for standing or moving, sheesh.

Glory, for the 10th year running, had a lotto win in Jan. :-)
Grumble, not fit enough to go collect, so missus went. Won't see much of that then. :-(

...about six feet ;-)
Seriously it varies vastly from person to person, anything from hours to months. Just take it easy, I hope you are at the "few days" end of the spectrum.

Sorry to hear about this. It''s nasty stuff.
When I had it years ago, (10? Maybe a bit more), the hospital doc called it benign positional vertigo. I got him to write it down. Easier to remember that way.
(Just checked; still got the card in my wallet.)

I don't recall it happening again after I got home.
The "cure" was to move/tilt my head around in all different directions.
So, sitting down: tip it to the left, then to the right, then down so my chin was on my chest, then back.
Also I think, while it was down, roll it around and around, like a top that's almost slowed to a stop.
Do this a number of times, at intervals.

All of this was to loosen up small stones in the inner ear, which can stick together.
Apparently they are to do with balance, and need to move around separately, like a cup with a few marbles in it.

Yep Les. The problem is the crystals get into the semi-circular canals where they don't belong and hit the hairs inside and make you think you are spinning.

A Doc can move you through the steps to try and get them back into place.

Eventually they dissolve and get redeposited where they belong.

Thanks for the info guys. I really appreciate it. I just can't understand how the paramedics missed it. Told them that initially lost all sense of balance before collapsing. All they were worried about were cardiac issues. Me. I was more worried about my head blowing. Came close twice & that was close enough.
The problem for me anyway was listening to their advice Tues afternoon. Took that evening, nil by mouth, just water and some dry food, nothing acidic. So mug full of water & several crackers.

Boy, did I suffer Wed afternoon, woke up with a massive migraine the likes of I last experienced over 40 years ago. The ones that bring tears to your eyes. :-(
Got up around 1:10 this morning, call of nature, made it but oh so woozy. Went back to bed & now been up since 4:30. :-) Pinched the wife's energy drink, tasty & did some toast. Still got a slight headache, but nothing I can't handle.

Jut hope Rob is right & getting to the end.
Thanks Les, Noted what you said & going to do those movements Here's hoping.
I know my limits & not afraid to call it. Scary. :-(

Grumble:

Crunchers who don't read the notice I posted about a server going down for maintenance or the subsequent discussion about it and then open up a new thread to complain their uploads are not going through.

I finally had her and then I blew it. She was finally admitting she was my girlfriend and then I had to tell her the other thing. She hasn't spoken to me since. I'm about sure I am an ex already. I'm so dumb.

Edit: I just met her and we're fine.

We've been talking all morning, despite her being at work. I'm forgiven. And have a girlfriend. Oh my. ;-)

Ah but then all the lies found their way to me. She's been playing me for over a year. Married.
Enough said, it's completely over between her and me.

Nah, all things considered I am feeling fine. Glad the ugly truth was finally outed. All the doubts and worries have fallen off of me in one fell swoop. I slept very well the past night, as well as I did towards the falling out.

Just remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

Brought my car to the garage for service. They just called.

Brake discs front are bad.
Brake pads and shoes as well.
Brake fluid is red.
And the battery is below the minimum power level.
All need to be replaced.
€800,-

Ka-ching.
😲😱

Too many years since I last bled brakes. What colour is it normally?
