Are those what we used to call BTUs, or British Thermal Units?

100,000 BTU's per therm is approx 100 cubic feet of natural gas. Of course the meter measures cubic feet, then they do their thing and tell you therms.

Glory, 1041's and 541's off in the mail with their K1 counterparts.

Now can they just send me my 1065k1 so I can figure out how much Virgin Islands tax I can claim as a deduction?

Well. Just seen the Kiev (Ukraine) artist for the Eurovision Song Festival. These people won. But they're not coming. Too bad as they were certainly going to bring the ESF back to Kiev. NSFW by the way, probably not for little kids either.

No, it's measured in cubic metres (or, if you have a very old meter, cubic feet).

One hopes there is a standard pressure at which this is measured . ;)

Idiots who hop the fence at 6:12 in the morning right in front of the security camera.
Idiots who then can't hop the next fence despite there being a bollard to give them a lift.
Idiot at least was able to hop back over where he came from.

Glory, my 2 month old toaster failed 3 days ago. Yesterday I brought it back to life. I thought I was in the market to replace it.

I didn't have the best of weekends, people, to be
honest. It caused me to have... well...visions .....

Yes.

My mother-in-law informed me Saturday that she was
"coming to stay over" because her roof had leaked
teensily in one of her two spare bedrooms.

It had been fixed but the man who was supposed to
come and redecorate the entire room (not just two
square inches of barely marred paintwork) hadn't
showed up, so she'd suddenly decided she "couldn't
bear to look at it anymore".

So why do so then?

It's not like she had to because, to have to,
she'd have to first go considerably out of her way
to find a single reason to even be in there, let
alone linger. I mean, there's no furniture in it,
nothing. Just a vacuum cleaner... and my house is
full of things much worse to look at than that and
she didn't flee from here. And she seemed to have
no problems at all with keeping up a snide running
survey and commentary on mine.

So yesterday morning was even less fun, because
not only was I trying to establish at what stage
my brother-in-law was at (in his 3 week itinerary
of Ethiopia, Kenya, Israel and if he was okay) but
I was being treated to a long moan about why none
of our local pubs are open at 11am.

I have just finished walking her into a tube train.
Yes :) and now have an appointment to get myself
ready for, so I will catch up here later instead.

Dead mouse problems.

No we don't have a cat. Eventually found a spare that worked when plugged into a USB socket.

You should have so much fun as a Banana (or some such fruit) that thinks it is supposed to be connecting to a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, where there is a perfectly good USB mouse and keyboard plugged in. Especially when you need to hold the boot modifier keys down before the bluethooth loads!

grumble -- left hand and right hand. Left hand posts signs saying major work from 3/13 to 3/15. Right hand posts many signs saying no parking 3/15 to 3/22.

I think I believe the right hand signs.

grumble -- that means the street will be torn up for a full week including a weekend! Oh, and what are we to do on trash pickup day?

Congrats to all Brits with the delayed Brexit. Not that it matters in the end, as your MPs still do what they want, not what you want. Remain! Leave!

Someone in the debate early on stated the public were tired of experts.
Well we certainly don't have any of them in parliament.
