Asteroids is still mostly down but occasionally it's up long enough to get a few tasks to start to down or up load.

And Asteroids is backup as of about 4-5 minutes ago. Long enough to check a few things. Not tasks to send out, of course.

My browser (Chrome/Windows) is seeing a certificate which only covering the internal server name ('aurai'), so not covering any public internet connection.

I have emailed Andy.

Edit:The next batch of main site work needs to go through dev branch for testing and there is still some work to do before that so no one is missing out on work at the moment.

Edit2: Andy is looking into it.

Edit3: Fixed.

Thanks Andy & Richard

I'll continue to allow CPDN to snooze gently in the corner until more work emerges.

No WUs and status of server

An update for Asteroids...

Apologies for the recent outages. Another DDoS attack hit the server, and it took the admin some time to secure it against those malicious actors.
The web should be accessible now and we're still reviewing the configuration, but new work will be available soon.

Rosetta has been having problems for almost a week now.
The host that's responsible for their Validators, Assimilators & Feeder appears to be having issues. They have a mountain of Tasks queued up to process, but Ready to send is mostly 0, and the number of Tasks In progress continues to decline, while there is an Assimilator backlog that's showing no signs of clearing.

To add to that- there are now issues relating to systems using IPv6 being unable to report work.
People get a
Server error: feeder not running
message.

Disabling IPv6, or putting
128.95.160.156 boinc-files.bakerlab.org
128.95.160.156 bwsrv1.bakerlab.org
in your Hosts file forces your system to use IPv4 and you can now return work.
Getting work is still however very much down to random luck; in spite of there being millions queued up to process, ready to send is still mostly 0.

After a few hours of happiness Asteroids has decided to have a sulk, and is once again crawling, if not stalled....
