It's been many years that boinc's interest is fading out. Read this if you're not convinced.

Lame self-serving article that reads like it was written by a very conceited egomaniac.

Tell KRI to end shadow-banning on WCG.

CPDN News.

Hi All,

I am going to be taking the project offline shortly. This is to bring a new server into the project, and to shift the backend work to that new server. I will be needing to take a database dump and then upload this to the new server, so I anticipate that this will take a few days to complete during which time the project will be offline.

Best wishes,

Andy

Any idea how long a few days is? It is now late May 5.

Last time things were moved like that from memory it was about five days but really I am guessing. It also depends on whether Andy hits any snags. Still just over a day till my four East Asia tasks from testing branch are finished meaning it will likely be a few be a few few days after that before any work appears for main site based on the results. The way I see it, it's better if Andy gets it right first time rather than rushes and makes silly mistakes.

The good news is that all four of my tasks have survived 51 days of crunching and one is down to less than 24 hours so I am hopeful of them finishing.

And only one click of the retry button to get three tasks to download!

If all has gone well, I would anticipate the database transfer should be complete by now but, as Monday is a public holiday in UK (Some Charlie getting a new hat) I would guess things might be up again late Tuesday. This assumes no snags.

Following this I would guess within a week there should be some East Asia tasks as all four of my 52.5 day long tasks completed successfully.

I was a bit premature. Forums and server status page back but unable to add project following clean install of Lunar which I put off till the testing tasks I had were done.
