See https://twitter.com/cosmic_mar/status/1039317485944799232 for the reason Cosmology@home is down. The project's database got corrupted.

Cosmology@home is up again. See https://www.cosmologyathome.org/forum_thread.php?id=7569 for why the project was down and the side effects of the recovery.

Yesterday, was having to reload the CPDN message board several times to get past the project database is down message but this morning no problems. Trickle up and zip file also uploaded successfully. So I think things may have been sorted. Certainly users have posted that trickles (used for credit with cpdn) are now showing on task web pages which had been an issue.

The project is back up though we have been experiencing some unreliability which is unexpected so will be investigating over the next week or so.

No official notice yet but forums and server status pages etc are down on CPDN. Uploads of zips to server and trickle ups still working. Download server is I believe still down but as the project has no tasks currently for Linux hosts I haven't confirmed that.

It seems to be an unannounced/unexpected outage. Hopefully the servers will be up before the end of the day (and before the week-end)...

From Kevin Reed:
The link between our servers and the SAN storage for our databases went offline a little while ago. The hosting team is working on it.

CPDN again. The security certificate for their BOINC website - which also handles their scheduler, which issues new work and accepts completed work - has failed to auto-renew. There is also a delay on manual renewal. Staff are aware and will keep trying again until the certificate has been renewed - hopefully this afternoon.

Until then, expect difficulty reporting completed work and requesting new work. You will also face security warnings if you try to access www.cpdn.org.

Edit - the certificate has been successfully renewed and https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/ is working again.
