Seti seems to be down.

up and now DOWN AGAIN!.

This time, even the upload server isn't responding.

I have been able to browse to the site, upload results, and make scheduler requests. The outage at SETI@home is over until the Tuesday weekly maintenance outage begins.

Seems something is wrong is Seti land. connect() failures and the web pages are slower than dialup.

I think that things have returned to normal at SETI@home. The web page, uploading work, and scheduler requests now work at normal speed.

Hi All,

I am afraid there has been an issue with the main CPDN project database machine. We are currently investigating the issue. Meanwhile the project has been taken offline whilst we investigate. We hope to restore access to the project as soon as we are able to.

With regards,

Andy

I wonder if they are even working on getting the CPDN servers back up and running or do they have to wait for Monday to get into the server room and access the damage?

If it's a hardware failure, then it will involve the company that makes/supplies that hardware.
Last time it involved a failure in the cabinet, and the company had to build, then install, then test the new gear. Then the IT people had to bring the software back on line.

PS
Uploads are going just fine.
