Apparently the radioactive@home virtual server keeps crashing for unknown reasons and it's hoped to be back in a couple of days according to Krzysztof.

Seti is struggling to return to normal after the fire that took it and this project offline yesterday evening. No one injured.

Further to Collatz being down -- unlike some of the past outages, this one is complete -- the home page is totally unaccessable. No message saying the server is offline. That's a change from yesterday when it first went offline.

Matt Lebofsky, Seti project administrator wrote:
The problem persists, and as many of you already know there's a router on campus at the root of said problem. This is very similar to problems with had with our PAIX router where the solution was a memory upgrade.

Campus is aware of the issues. It's out of our control.

This also affects access to the BOINC domain. Some can get here, others cannot or only for short times.

Traceroute is not showing an issue here and Main and Beta seem to be off air, so a real crash.

Collatz returned later on the 10th and remained up until early this morning (the 12th).

This time there is no access at all -- not even to a 'data base offline' page.

Enigma (http://www.enigmaathome.net/) seems to have problems (DNS registration expired ?).
Is there someone out there who knows what entries to add to the hosts file to get Enigma working again ?

OK -- Collatz site in back up, and uploads seem to be working -- but reporting is still not working.

All CPDN sites are off line.

There is currently an issue with the infrastructure rack on which the virtual machines of the project resides. OeRC IT support is currently looking into this. All main project CPDN BOINC services are currently offline. We will let you know when we have more information on the cause and on the restoration time.

As of 9:19 am EDT, Climateprediction.net is completely down; all of the web site, including their forum, time out with no response. Further, the statistics tab shows the last update as of 10/9/15. Any info available?

Further ClimatePrediction.Net (CPDN) news:
The current status is that following a controller failure within the shared storage that underpins all of the services we have shutdown all services whilst we wait for support from DDN the company that makes the storage. Until this happens then any attempt to let derived restart could possibly lead to further failures.

CPDN beta site is also non-responsive.

Update on the CPDN situation, issued 10:00 UTC Monday 19 October 2015

OeRC IT Support has been running a rebuild of the storage array over the weekend. This was initiated on Friday afternoon and is currently at 90%. Once this has been completed he will be running a file check and other checks on the 200TB array to verify the consistency of the rebuilt array, these checks are expected to take the minimum of three quarters of a day. If these are successfully he will restore a single test machine and then will check the consistency of this. If these and all other checks are correct, we in CPDN would be able to start restoring services.

I have been uploading and downloading Einstein GPU work (BRP6-Beta for Nvidia), and also uploading FGRP4 work for several hours with no problems shown in the log here.
