Not exactly a project outage, but LHC has managed to "loose" the news section of their forum - it doesn't look intentional as their home page has an error message:
No news forum. Run html/ops/create_forums.php.

They are more off-line than online. The way they run the 2 projects I seriously doubt they even know they are off-line / no schedulers url available.

CPDN tasks are intermittent and mostly for Windows OS when available for a few hours after they are on the server.

I would guess they would post about work availability here New Work Announcements 2025

Not yet. Glenn, volunteer scientist at the project is sorting out some bugs in code for the next batch which will probably go through testing before going to the main site.

CPDN tasks are intermittent and mostly for Windows OS when available for a few hours after they are on the server.

In fact, next planned batch are Hadam4 which are Linux. I can't remember if the next batch after that is Windows or OIFS which again are Linux. I know Glenn is also working on the multithreaded OIFS code. When they come out, expect to need about 8GB of RAM per task.

Prior warning received from CPDN (ClimatePrediction.net):

We are going to be taking the main CPDN project down tomorrow (Thursday 06 Feb 2025) at 3pm (UK time). This will be for an extended period of time of between a week, and a week and a half. This is in order to do an extensive amount of work on the main server where the project is residing.

During this time the main project at main.cpdn.org will be unreachable, however the project website at cpdn.org will still be reachable.
Note that cpdn.org primarily covers the science and context behind the project: all BOINC content, including volunteer accounts and message boards, is at main.cpdn.org and thus will be inaccessible.

Slight delay on start time. Don't assume it's been cancelled just because the site's still up after 15:00 UTC.

Just seen an email from Andy. The outage has been delayed till some ancillary files have been uploaded to the site. He will email again when the rescheduled time and date is known. I guess the people it affects most are those who have been running their machines for just a few hours a week and are slowly returning tasks.
