Apparently, I already have an account but it does not log me in using the same password used for all of the BOINC accounts. I also noticed it said it was created today, so I'm assuming it was activating the BOINC-wide teams/user accounts. Though I have not had a notification yet.

try logging in at the project with your teamwide/user email and password the one you used when you set up team/user wide.

that happen to me on one new project a while back and that is what I had to do.
then when I got in I changed the password to the same one that was used on all the other projects.

baring that try password recovery from the account page on the project.
if they have gotten that far, email and all.....

When trying to set up an account, it says to do so by "attaching to project" via boinc manager - but the project isn't in the list. Advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Good luck with the project too.

I'll answer anyway ;)

Just go through the add project option, and rather than select one from the list just paste the project link into the URL text box and continue as if you'd selected it from the list. The URL to paste is this:

(Not clickable to make it easy to copy'n'paste!).

After emailing the admin, he manually reset my password. So, I am good now.
