Hi,

I have been plagued with this error for almost a year. I don't even remember the last time I had a complete work unit (although I recently came close with some climateprediction WUs but they failed with approximately 90% complete). The problem is not project specific. It happens with every project I have (SETI, Einstein, and all 3 Climateprediction projects). The problem is also not computer specific. I have 3 different computers with different configurations (1 GHz AMD Athlon, 256MB Ram; Sony Vaio laptop, P4 2.8 GHz, 512 MB Ram; Gateway E4300, P4 HT 3.0 GHz, 1 Gig Ram) and get the same problem on all 3. I have tried everything I can think of. I've upgraded from 5.2.13 to 5.4.9 (the problem started with 5.2.13) and the problem persists. Usually, while the screensaver is running, I'll get a memory allocation error from windows and then when I check BOINC, I get the following error message:

7/6/2006 9:41:04 AM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result hadcm3lbm_b3eg_05286891_0 ( - exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))

The AMD is the only one set to run all the time and occasionally has this problem even if the screensaver is not running. I have seen the forums that suggest graphics card driver issues, but I am not convinced of that as I have different graphics cards and I got the Gateway AFTER the problems started. I am at my wits end here. Any help would be appreciated.
