Normally I put differences down to not enough time to even things out or different projects granting different amounts of credit, but ..... SETI & SETI Beta, should not be showing a large difference, and their work being available (downtime) should be about the same ..... So how come on the same computer with Tue Feb 17 17:41:15 2015 | SETI@home | URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 7267259; resource share 6000 Tue Feb 17 17:41:15 2015 | SETI@home Beta Test | URL http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/; Computer ID 71371; resource share 100 a 60 to 1 difference in requested priority which has been for several months we have RACs of http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=71371 4,790.57 for Beta http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7267259 3,455.59 for Main With a 60 to 1 difference in favor of main and months to even out, Beta gets a bigger RAC? Now I'm beginning to wonder if there really is some issue with the scheduler that doesn't show up in the debug logs. This simply seems too much to just be random chance. ![]() |

Followup: On another computer of mine 2/17/2015 11:05:31 PM | SETI@home | URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 7395610; resource share 6000 2/17/2015 11:05:31 PM | SETI@home Beta Test | URL http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/; Computer ID 72834; resource share 100 Same 60 to 1 split I have http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7395610 RAC of 4,064.37 on Main http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/show_host_detail.php?hostid=72834 RAC of 57.44 on Beta This is much closer to the 60 to 1 I would expect, actually closer to 70 to 1. The computer that isn't doing as I expect is a Mac, the second is a PC. A clue? ![]() |

Now that the forums are finally reacting a little faster again, I have forwarded that to development. |
