1. I run BOINC because I want to help out the society. Though it's not my childhood dream, but I realized the hard truth of life. I simply admire the prowess of what computers can do, and that I am learning so as to develop AI. I am obsessed with the positive aspect of AI, unlike Elon Musk who is a doomsayer. It's not that I hate Elon (I admire him for the work he's doing), but I am not in favor of his ideology towards AI in general.
2. I like the concept and it is similar to Folding@Home. To be honest, I first came to know about Folding@Home, and I stumbled upon BOINC just as a suggestion in Google Play Store. Also that I am hooked to this application just because it is more customizable than Folding@Home.
