Hello everyone,

I have a openSUSE 13.1 x64 with R9 290 video card (with amd proprietary drivers installed) and I installed latest BOINC from sources so the BOINC applications were installed in 
/usr/local/bin


I lost 1h trying to launch boinc_client using just 
boinc_client
(the application was in path so no need to use full path) and it always triggered the 
execv: No such file or directory GPU detection failed. error code 512
error

But when i launched boinc_client using full path 
/usr/local/bin/boinc_client
the GPU detection was succesfully.

Hope this info is usefull to somebody.

Hi,

I am getting exactly the same error message though my platform is different. I have 64 bit Mint 17 with Radeon HD 6950. Could somebody help me out? There does not seem to be anything relevant in /usr/local/bin.
