First let me describe my system. I am running a i5-3570k with a GTX 680 and a GTX 780 Ti. The majority of the time I have separate projects running on the CPU and each of the GPU's. For example, SIMAP on the CPU, GPU Grid on the 680, and Seti on the 780 Ti.

Here recently I have had both GPU's running the same project, Seti@Home, for a contest. My problem comes up when I want to run a game or other video intensive program. You can't simply tell Boinc to not use one of the GPU's and then switch it back on when your done and ready to crunch again. You can either suspend the project and both GPU's or you have to go into the config files and put in a entry to exclude the GPU you want to free up. Editing the config files is the process I have been using. Its cumbersome to have to go in and make the entry and save it. Then you have to go back and delete it when your ready to crunch again.

Is there a better way to stop Boinc from using a single GPU out of a set of multiple GPU's all running the same project?

What Boinc needs is a additional selection under the Activity tab for each different GPU.

And that's the response I expected, after looking for and reading similar posts. No better way to do what I am trying to do and no interest in adding functionality for multiple GPU users.
