I have just moved to a new PC, running Win 8.1. I have installed the BOINC manager, and set it to point to my data folder, which is on a separate hard drive I brought across with me.

Every time I reboot the PC, BOINC manager comes up in a 'new' state, asking me to connect to a project... I have 5 projects, each with over a million units completed. If I cannot find a way to prevent this behavior, I will have to give up on BOINC after more than 10 years of usage...

Has anyone seen this behavior before, and better still, does anyone know how to stop it?

Thanks,

Can you post the Boinc startup from the Event log please.

What kind of separate hard drive is your Data directory on? USB?
