Has anyone ever looked into writing a cruncher for the DSP chip? Is that even feasible? How would a DSP compare to a CPU and GPU? Just seams like a card could be made with multiple DSP chips to build a mega cruncher? I also saw Nvidia chip set kits, would it be possible to build a non graphics card with multiple NVidia chipsets that just crunches CUDA code without the video hardware?

unfortunately its been 10 years since I wrote anything meaningful as far as programming...I used to program in 30+ languages, now I'm lucky to remember one. I've lost the touch. This is probably way past my means these days.
