Excited to use available electricity to Fight AIDS in mobile devices. I downloaded the app yesterday and was able to create a profile for my android at the World Community Grid so my desktop continues to be dedicated to the Clean Energy Project while my phone Fights AIDS.

It was running when I went to bed (was plugged in) but after I was done snoozing this morning it was suspended due to "other apps running." Got it computing again after I closed the alarm clock and restarted the power manager (which merely switches to power saving mode when the battery is low and was on all yesterday).

Is there a place to report potential bugs?

Thank you again - I am a believer that this will impact Earth's history,

We'll release a new Android client soon that generates a unique "domain name".

I hope Dr. A isn't going to use the MAC address. Well, at least not unless he runs it through a hash function. Don't need a hardware related number out there that could be used as an attack vector.

I hope not, there will be devices with the same MAC address.

I just searched googgleplay for the andriod-boinc-app. Found one that looks official, but it wants the right to read personal infos. In German: "Persönliche Informationen; Sensib. Logdaten auslesen".
This is a very sensible right. Is this malware or your software? If so, why does it want/need this right?

I did download the app a few weeks later and have been running it fine since. The odd occasion it will just 'stop' and the process is gone but mostly it works fine.

Currently trying to run an Einstein WU on my Samsung Galaxy Ace phone.

This phone has very limited internal memory, which seems to be causing problems.

Other apps can and do store/run from the SD card which has plenty memory free.

If BOINC can be made to store/run from the SD card and not the internal memory it would be a lot better.

I will probably try to complete this current WU but will have to uninstall BOINC after due to the memory requirement to run any project.

I have the same problem with my HTC One M7,just not enough internal memory.Hey you guys who develop BOINC Android please should you know how precious is the internal memory!? Why not just let boinc take advantage of the sdcard!
Though i have installed BOINC android on my SDCard, yet it cannot use my 2GB+ sdcard freespace.
now Boinc just says "nothing to do..."
I've tried NativeBoinc, it worked ,but not so stable and caused my phone restart from time to time, which force me to uninstalled it.
