Hi,

I suspect I've either fundamentally misunderstood BOINC-wide teams or missed something simple.

I've set up what I thought was a BOINC-wide team (PCS RC Euston Tower Branch) which I think created a bunch of teams on different projects but there doesn't seem to be a 'master' team which pulls all the different projects' stats & members together. Does a BOINC-wide team do that or have I misunderstood what they do?

Also, probably related, I've joined the above team on three projects with my personal account but it's not showing as being part of the BOINC-wide team, which only shows the member account I set up to create it.

Is there a way to link the individual project teams to the BOINC-wide one so it collates all the stats and members in one place?

(I've asked this on the BOINC-wide forums too but they seem a tad quiet!)

Boinc 7.0.28 (x64)

Projects: Rosetta@home, Einstein@home, FightMalaria@home, MilkyWay@home

Try http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Teams. At the bottom of the page there is a link you might find helpful.

Thanks kdsjsdj,

I've already been there to set up the BOINC-wide team but it looks like it doesn't do what I thought it did.

I figured a BOINC-wide team would allow the same team on several different projects and collate all the stats, members etc. Looks like it doesn't.

Never mind.

If anybody knows different please let me know!

Ta.

You have misunderstood the function of the BOINC Wide team page. All that you do here is make your team once, and all the projects that have the import teams function on will make that team at their project pages, or if you updated your team information, update that in their databases.

There is no main page gathering all the data back at the BWT page. That's done by all the Statistics sites.

So then you have to check there, such as at BOINCStats: http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/team/detail/91120221/projectList

Mind, only projects where anyone of your team has gathered credits, and thus the team has gathered credits, will show up.

A team made at BWT can take up to a week to propagate at different projects. It really all boils down to the having the team import on and if so, when they allow that to be done.

Aha! Thanks Ageless.

There's only one project of the three in the team showing up at the minute but I think it's less than a week since I joined the team on the projects.

Cheers, I'll wait and see what happens.
