Am I doing something wrong with BOINC? I have not worked with the SETI@Home project in years ... probably 10+. I am used to the old version of it runs as screensaver. That is what I was hoping to get this go-round. The problem is, it will not download anything. I was able to download information using the Milkyway@home project, but not with SETI or orbit. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I simply being impatient?

This is not the Setiathome forums, This is the Boinc Development Forums, for project specific problems you should ask at the project in question.

No tasks available = no work to download to you

The new SETI isn't like the old SETI you are probably used to. They have frequent offline periods and outages and very often you will not receive work from them.

Why are there no tasks available? Go to SETI home page and read the News. Always read the news before you ask because quite often the answer to your question is right there in the news. The Event Log and the project News are your 2 best friends. Also check the Notices tab in BOINC manager's Advanced View because it has helpful info you need to be aware of too.
