No wonder you're in pain *pick up Jord's jaw*. Yes. Morrowind. The bear doesn't have to die I think. Not that it won't if I get to have a go playing it. The horse I controlled too briefly in the Elder Scrolls, fell down an unpleasantly steep drop just as I'd turned to my son to say: this is good isn't it. That died :/ At that point, my son hadn't known it could - only that he couldn't always find it where he thought he'd left it

How I come to know of it, though, was because my daughter ordered it to be sent here in time for her little brother to get his uni results, whichever way they went. They came in last Saturday's post :) Given that his first four days of uni (nearly three years ago) were spent with me saying - you really don't have to do this. Just having gone for one day( 2, 3 etc) and never going back again is perfectly fine (because they were amongst the most stressful days he'd ever experienced) - he got a First :)

Just woke up a couple minutes ago, came to my computer, tried to Reload SETI@Home only to find it's already down...

Finally! The new Public Service Broadcasting CD, Every Valley, is in. Am listening to it right now. Yeah, Old School a CD, I know. But at least I can rip that one myself in the quality I like (320 bits). Putting the 'do not disturb' sign up. See ya all in 45 minutes.

Yep, definitely liking this CD.
So far The Pit is my favorite, because of use of the cellos and violas.

Sitting at the Toyota dealer waiting for them to put in a new starter. At least it went bad in the parking lot of the library, so I had something to read while waiting for AAA, ;~). The AAA guy checked the battery and alternator, and all was good. He tapped on the starter and that got it going. He said those rarely go bad, and there's usually no warning.

Ah yes, the old beat on the starter solenoid with the wrench trick. Got many a car to the shop that way in the old days. Often means only the solenoid must be replaced rather than the whole starter motor, if separately replaceable, so easier on the wallet.

I suppose I should have known about that before you did, but I didn't.

And you didn't notice the traffic trouble in the inner city either? ;-)
The link I gave earlier is now dead, but there will probably be highlights coming on https://www.youtube.com/user/Formula1/videos

I didn't put my nose very far out of the door at all today, but I did notice our local roads had turned into a ratrun of vehicles trying to escape something somewhere and succeeding in making their very own snarl-ups on our doorsteps in addition to where they'd fled from.

What a little F1 circus doesn't do, especially when it's only been advertised since Tuesday evening. I must say though I only found out about it via a newspaper I was reading, and then only after it's been ongoing for over an hour already. Oh well, at least let's hope Max can drive more meters than those on Piccadilly Circus and that his car will stay sound for one time.

Edit Weird!

Good, at least Eric will then be free for that teleconference we'll have tonight. Hint hint, news on this will be coming later tonight or tomorrow. :)

*plonk down to wait for the news*

I've never been in a teleconference. Are they smart-casual, or any-old-thing-will-do, it's-just-my-head-talking affairs?

Fortunately audio only, so they'll never know.

Might it be a bit hard to talk with all those clothes pins on the mouth and nose?
What happens if they start to snap off in a chain reaction and start "popping"?

Gosh... I wonder if Eric remembered to put on clothes today. He can be very forgetful, you know...
