My response to this post is better made here It is indeed heartening so see you content for once, Mr S. I do not however, share your delight with regard this: Jord's time is much better spent like this than trying to be a Moderator. Not without amendment at least. Jord's time will be much better spent if he is not having to moderate posters incapable of moderating themselves, Sir. Would you not agree? ;-) |

It would be nice if people could answer to topic in the thread, instead of immediately deviating off topic and continuing their crap campaign. Sorry for him, but I am not leaving here. If something even, I'll be spread more over a lot of BOINC projects, as the message has to go out, and then it's a daily tour of all those projects to see who answered what, and gather all that information for the rest of the committee to see. And perhaps, maybe, if I feel right at the time, I'll go to Paris in September to see Richard's beard in real life. I gather it's a wondrous thing to behold. :) |

Glad to hear about you and Richard's new positions. I didn't see if there was a time for a final report. In the mean time I'll see what I might dream up. A couple things might be nice and perhaps not so hard. On the help menu we have choices for Install and the manage. I'm wondering if a choice for project specific help link might be possible. Thinking of a wiki page with links to each project's help (if it has one). Yes I know it is already there, but I thinking of a newbie who doesn't yet know where to look on a given project. The second thing might be a list of the tools, and libraries, you need to participate in writing code. Perhaps also include links to where to get them and links to a book or two on them or online documentation. No you aren't writing a tutorial on programming, but not every programmer has worked on open source code. See if the thinking cap works while my eyes are dilated. |

Einstein has gone off air?"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later." It's usually capacity, or very brief maintenance. 'Later' may mean five minutes, or may (as now) be half an hour. |

The home page is back, I'm waiting for the rest to return. Whoops the Home page just disappeared. Such excitement. edit, Reporting, updating and getting new work are working so we crunch on and know nothing. There are worse things. |

For Einstein this is a dandy, I hope all are enjoying the outrage. They cry and spill milk in the Seti thread over Einstein. A BOINC by any other name would smell as sweet. Will we see the same scream they are leaving if it doesn't get fixed? |
