Boy, those 750ti's sure seem to be a sweet spot for GPUs.
Not the highest performing, but very power efficient.
If I were able to convert the entire kitty crunching farm to 750ti power, my RAC would probably drop, but compared to the power hungry 580s I run, wow, what a difference it would make on the power bill.

So far I'm pretty pleased. The first four I got were SCs, these last two are FTWs that need the extra power. Seems to be ok to stuff one FTW and one SC into each HP Xeon box, and the 450w supply seems adequate. Don't even run all that hot, mid-60s on the FTW, mid-50s on the SC. If I can get mid to high 20k RAC per box I'll be a happy camper.
If nothing else, it's 38f out right now, I haven't turned the heat on for the season yet, and I'm running around in bare feet. Seems like two of them (and the other 3 boxes I have running atm) is enough to keep the house at about 72f. My UPS is a tad unhappy with the load, tho ...

If I recall, I fired up the oil burner only a half dozen times or so all last winter. Still have almost a full 250 gallon tank.

Either Seti was out of work and the GPUs went cold, or it was sub-zero here.

The kitty crunching farm continues to shed heat until it gets below 20 to 15f here. The exhaust fans in the garage cycle on and off, thermostatically controlled, drawing cold air in through a bathroom window.

And, with a major el pinata in the ocean this winter, a very mild winter is forecast. I would not be surprised if I never fire up the furnace at all this year. Heck, it's a third of the way into November, and only a few nights below freezing so far. Of course, a long way to go into winter.

Nice!

Makes it a lot easier to justify the cost of running the farm during the winter......
During the summer, it's all a net loss.....LOL.
Except for the science, of course....

Heating homes worldwide, one WU at a time.

I'm running a GTX 750Ti 2Gb factory overclocked Black Sniper edition. It rocks on, and runs quite happily on a 450W PSU. 7000 RAC and climbing on Seti, I'm told it should get to 10K :-)

Sounds similar to the Gainward "Golden Sample" I run. They can reach 12,500 RAC on MB only between outages, and don't need supplementary power.

Well it could be GPUZ fibbing, but I'm quite happy to sit back and watch the fun. If and when it tops out we might consider some of this unroll stuff, but we will see.

Cannot see Richards card for sale anywhere?

I got mine from Scan Computers in April 2014, but they're now saying they're out of stock:

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-gainward-gtx-750-ti-pcie-30-(x16)-6008mhz-gddr5-gpu-1202mhz-boost-1281mhz-cores-640-hdmi-dvi-d-s

But apparently they're still available in Poland...

Not sure about the UK, but I was getting good deals on the EVGA version here in the US at Amazon. I always buy the scratch-n-dents if available. Last two FTW versions I paid $105us for. Pretty decent, and I like EVGA's service. That's for http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Cooling-1189MHz-1268MHz-Graphics/dp/B00J0ISHMQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1447376542&sr=8-2&keywords=evga+gtx+750+ti

Have not had to use EVGA's service for some time now, but when I did they were right there for me. I have no other brand of GPU.

Never had anything other than EVGA. I trust them, and never had any reason to switch.

Obviously they are not having an outrage today. Their choice I guess.

Oh, come on. It's still only 8 am in the lab - they don't usually finish coffee and start work until 9:30. (Except Jeff)
