The page took quite a while to load here, there must be hundreds of setizens all wandering over at once.

I'm finding that my packets from the UK are taking a (s)cenic - and very slow - route to Berkeley via Paris, Washington and Los Angeles. But at least my SETI uploads are getting through now.

Something other than the Seti outage started going on just about that time.
It was not the outage itself, as it affected the forums even though they were still up, and it was taking a couple of minutes to refresh the Cricket graphs, which of course are not on the Seti servers.
Hopefully it's all sorted by the time the outage is over.

Meow.

EDIT...
I had not read Gary's post before I made mine. I had checked IST, and the problem was not yet listed there.

Yes, wonder if when they shut off the valve to Seti, the box cooled from the absence of traffic and had a thermal fault! LOL.

Computer room is still in limbo. The other room is done, it's got a nice wood floor now. But sawing some of that wood, I managed to sprain my wrist, have been having hellish pains for the past week. Had a photo made this afternoon, got thumbs down on it.

So, for the moment no further room clearing, cleaning and recarpeting.

DIY grr :( I always think it's proper acronym should be DITY for "do it to yourself" except when you're in casualty of course when it's better expressed as DITM "did it to myself"

Do hope your wrist heals up soon and that pain goes! Shame you still have work to do on the computer room though :/
