I'm sorry to post this here and not in the SETI forums but I'm not able to post in those forums at the moment, as I'll explain, and I was hoping someone from there might read this and be able to help me out....
My account is no longer recognized in SETI as of 3-4 days ago. The account key will not log me in and there's no record that I'm a user at all. I had a post in the forums a couple of weeks ago, and it now has no name associated with it. I know that there has been an outage for the past week but I'm not sure how that could have caused my problem. I'm also not sure what will happen when the SETI servers are back up and I try to turn in workunits.
I can ID my computers on the SETI webpages but the user is listed as anonymous. I had about 1500 pending credits, and these have been verified but no credit actually granted.
I really have no idea what to do, I'm more worried about losing the account that I've had since June of 99 than the credits that were pending.
If anyone has any suggestions I can give more account info. Thanks in advance.

[If anyone wants to pass this on to the appropriate SETI forum for me I'd appreciate it, just in case anyone there might be able to help]

If u know u email address, seti now just started using a password. You can create a password with email address u used when u first signed up to Seti. Since u account key doesnt work, u then should be able to access u account. Good Luck .... Also with u password u can then make post to seti forums...

Are you sure you use the right mail adress? That you haven't changed it?

I'm sure. Everything was normal until last week. Now this is no record that the account even existed other than my host ID's. My name is gone from the group I was in.
I checked my account in BOINCstats also and I have negative credit for last week, when my SETI credits disappeared.

Well when the servers came back up today I couldn't connect, I got a message from server: "Invalid or missing account key. Visit the project's web site to get an account key."
I decided to give up on my account and try creating a new one, hoping I could use the link on the website to link it to my old Classic account. This didn't work either, I got an error from the website. I can't post to the SETI forums on the account I made because you must have accumulated some amount of credit to be able to post, and I haven't got any.
It's quite frustrating.

You can post to the Questions&Answers forums. No credit needed for that.

This is from the Front Page of Seti.. U account may have been deleted...

September 3, 2005
A number of accounts were accidentally deleted on August 26, causing users to get 'Invalid or missing account key' messages. These accounts have now been restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.

It was deleted, but I'm happy to say that it has now been restored.
