my boinc is broken

doogiekd Send message Joined: 7 May 12 Posts: 2	Message 44054 - Posted: 8 May 2012, 19:05:03 UTC dear boinc friends, boinc has been working perfectly until a few days ago. i'm having the following problems: 1. boinc status indicates "waiting to run" for the only two studies i am participating in on the wcg: faah & hpf-phase2. it appears that boinc has been in this "paused" status for several days. actions taken: 1. i completely uninstalled and then reinstalled boinc. 2. i stopped using bam and tried individual project management directly from the wcg. the two actions above did not resolve the issue. 1. i completely uninstalled and then reinstalled boinc again. 2. i re-established the connection to my bam account and synced with boinc. the two actions above did not resolve the issue. in fact, now after connecting boinc to my bam account and syncing, NO studies are listed in boinc at all. any suggestions? equipment: designated boinc computer compaq presario x86 with 512mb ram 80gb hdd os: lubuntu 12.04 ID: 44054 ·

I set BOINC to run between 5pm and 6pm. Outside of those times, from 6pm one day to 5pm the next day, BOINC likes to run by itself. Because of this, I've uninstalled BOINC and I will not be using it again. ID: 44114 ·

Where is the Actitity Menu set to? is it set to 'Run based on preferences' or is is it set to 'Run always'? Where are you setting the restriction? at a Project's Computing Preferences page? or with Local Preferences? Local Preferences overide Web Preferences, Claggy ID: 44115 ·
