Hello,
I have a Pentium 4 CPU at 3.00 GHZ, 1.25 GB Memory and Windows XP SP-2.
It runs two Work units at once. It takes about 4 Hours to complete a Work unit.
I am not a Computer Guru.
How can I improve the Work unit speed.
Thank you, Joe

BOINC doesn't crunch any work units. It's the science application for the project you attached to that does all the crunching.

So what project(s) are you attached to?
Seti has some optimised crunchers, like the ones Crunch3r put on his page. They are made by Crunch3r and other people.

While Einstein has lots reversed engineered by Akosf, while E@H now also have their own Beta test of what Akosf did to their code.

I'm new to Linux and can't follow most of the lingo on these boards. I have 4 PII's and III's running only BOINC\\worldcommunitygrid 24x7 using one KVM monitor\\mouse. Older equipment so I installed on DamnSmallLinux 2.3 and am running toram. It still raised my power bill over the last couple of months so I use this cluster to heat the room. Question: how can I speed the calculations regardless of getting credit?
