Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here would be excited about the fact i'm building a mainframe from scratch to donate computing resources to BOINC. :D
I'm also wondering if that's even really possible. Could Boinc projects benefit from a mainframe? It's becoming a hobby of mine, this group computing thing.

what are you wondering ? if you can build a mainfraime or if boinc can benefit. As for building a mainframe I just know that it is a massive computer with multiple proccessors ect. Wheather or not it can run boinc depends on the OS for a start.

Remember that most tasks will run separately on each node, and won't share over all of the nodes. You can't share over with BOINC yet. You can, however, implement your own BOINC server in the grid if you want.
