I think this will be a very useful feature for us with dialup because a big threads are downloaded very slow. And of course for all others.

Possible features:

  • Forum preference: how many posts per page;
  • links from a list of threads to each thread's page (for example: New thread [Pages: 2, 3, 4, 5]);
  • link to last post in a thread;

I like this general idea, even though I am on cable - my service is a bit screwy atm. It will also make threads a lot neater IMHO :)

PS : You of course know that turning off avatars and signatures; and setting images to display as links speeds up things quite a bit.

Yes, of course, I know about this :). But when in a thread there are 60+ posts, hmmm....

Well, in next 2 or 3 weeks I think this feature will not be actual for me because I will connect to a city network which is lower in cost. ;)

Hi All,

Thought I'd just keep this thread alive.

Realise you have more urgent stuff to do, but I _really_ think dividing threads up into pages would neaten them up and speed up their loading.

And speed can be an issue, even with cable.

Need help? Check out Paul D. Buck and friends' excellent BOINC-Wiki!
