I use command "aticonfig --list-adapters"
[root@st-centos ~]# aticonfig --list-adapters
* 0. 01:00.0 ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
  1. 20:00.0 ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series

* - Default adapter

Normally by installing the drivers for both cards. Now it's very well possible that only one card is recognized as only for that one you installed drivers. Whenever you add any new hardware, even if it's the same as something you have already in the system, you will have to install drivers for it.

For using two ATI/AMD GPU's i had to revert to Cat 11.6 (1.4.1417) driver version.
Cat 11.7 or Cat 11.8 didn't detect my second GPU either.
